NY 10-10-09 Rolling Wheels WoO : The World of Outlaws came to Rolling Wheels Raceway in New York on 10-10-09. The track was fast as hell with the sprints at speeds near 140mph plus. It was a perfect night for racing with the temps in the mid 40's which may sound a bit cool but makes the Outlaw motors come to life. It took four heat races, one C main, and a B main to narrow down the field of 43 to 24 for the nights feature event. Coming away with the popular win was the #83x of Tim Shaffer over second place and points leader Donny Schatz in the #15 with the King of the Outlaws Steve Kinser rounding out the top 3. Added to the show were the mighty big block modifieds for a 25 lap race and a 30 lap sportsman modified race. All the racing action had the near sell out crowd on their feet all night.

NY 08-06-09 Oswego Speedway Kasey Kahne Steel Place Classic : The USAC Silver Crown series made it's first stop in 10 years at the Oswego Speedway on Thursday August 6th. thanks in part to NASCAR star Kasey Kahne who sponsored the nights races. Billed as the Kasey Kahne Steel Palace Classic 100 the stands were filled to capacity. Ideal weather made the night perfect for the racing fans. Kasey Kahne brought NASCAR star and friend Ryan Newman to also race a Silver Crown car. Brian Tyler was the race winner.

Trevor Lewis (21), led flag to flag to take the 25 lap A-Verdi A-Main. Chuck Hebing (45) was second, Lance Young (17j) third, Josh Weller (63) fourth and Bobby Breen (9) rounded out the top five.

New York 6-27-09 Starlite Speedway Mid Season Trophy Night : Starlite Speedway a home town track in New York runs Friday and Saturday nights. Racing anything from go carts to lawn mowers. This is really grass roots ( no pun intended ) racing. A family friendly race track where it doesn't cost a thing to sit in the stands and watch racers from age 5 to 85.
